Digital Mentor - Join the Allies

Would you like to be an ally for a young person in need, such as a young person in foster care, or who is socially isolated? The Allies provide one-to-one mentoring over smartphones.

It’s a peer mentoring programme, so you need to be over 16 and under 25 yourself. It involves one hour a week, with a minimum year commitment, and includes a monthly supervision with training. You will also need to have been in a supporting role before. Initial training is for one day and one evening.

Workshop Leader

Would you like a leadership role of training other young people in personal development and peer support skills? Would you like to develop your facilitation and presentation skills?

Our workshops are interactive workshops for young people, including our Address the Stress workshop, and the weekend extravaganza Good2Great. They aim to up-skill young people so that they can make it through life.

We will train you up over an evening in facilitation skills, and how to deliver each workshop type that you deliver. You will be paired with an more experience presenter for your first workshops. You do need confidence in speaking to groups of young people.

This is an occasional commitment as our workshops are provided by request.

Professional Skilled Volunteer

We love skills-based volunteering. If you have a specific skill or specialty, and you are interested in contributing that to Youthline, please get in touch.

We are especially looking for a: graphic designer, and counselling training programme writer.

In your email please introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about what you do and how you'd like to volunteer (project-based, certain number of hours per week, in the office, remotely, etc) - it is always really helpful to receive a CV as well.
