We provide a 24/7 helpline.

What we do

​The helpline is for anytime you want to talk. It's networked with the other Youthlines around the country so we can go 24/7.

​Volunteering & Leadership / Tūao

​We are a volunteer led organisation. Join us and help support our young people. You can volunteer for helpline. It's a big commitment. You need to do one shift a week for two years. You will also need to attend a training weekend in Christchurch plus six more online training days. 
​
We up-skill our volunteers to lead, and create a community that cares.

Peer Support Leadership Programme

Youthline will run a bespoke Peer Support Leaders programme for your school.

The programme has a group of trained senior students supporting younger students’ by connecting them with services who can help. 
​
Peer support programmes help junior students adjust to life at school and build their confidence. It turns senior students into leaders.

Youthline’s programme has the lightest impact on staff and student’s time. This is a free service.
