We believe you have a right to feel listened to and supported. Our goal is to encourage you to take control of your own future and outcomes. With support and encouragement, this will lead to a higher sense of satisfaction and personal achievement.
Mentoring offers an opportunity for rangatahi to meet with a youth worker weekly, or across a regular timeframe otherwise agreed upon, in a safe and supportive environment. Every mentoring session looks different, dependent on the goals and objectives set by the young person.
We can provide you with personal face to face mentoring at school, after school, or at our place.
Youth workers are not qualified counsellors, but work in a space which can sometimes become similar. When we feel we need to seek support from other services, for the best outcomes of any young person, we may do so, with consent.
Mentoring is about walking alongside rangatahi, advocating for them and building a safe space for reflection, listening and assurance.
There is no charge for this service.
