Youthline Southland is a local organisation providing support, information, crisis intervention, and referrals for young people. The free 24/7 helpline is staffed by our trained helpline counsellors who can hear you out when the pressure is hitting. We also offer personal development, counselling and suicide prevention skills training, and volunteer opportunities. Youthline Southland provides rangatahi a listening ear, offers information and advice, builds confidence, and can help in the dark times. Youthline Southland has given me the training in what I need to know about myself and others, so that I can help someone who may be at their worst. The other volunteers, supervision, coordinator, and board have made Youthline Southland a supportive place, where we can feel we really make a difference.
