Christchurch School-Based Programmes

Wellbeing Connectors Programme

Youthline is offering to run a bespoke Wellbeing connectors programme for your kura. This in a free programme.

Wellbeing Connectors  support other students’ by connecting them with appropriate services. They role-model a welcoming school culture, show awhi to isolated students, & scan for bullying.

The programme adds another tier of peer support for your students. It adds leadership abilities to your wellbeing council.

Youthline will provide full training in mental health first aid, peer support and leadership for your students and form them into a wellbeing team. 

They wear a badge to show when they are available. They attend a monthly lunchtime check-in during terms 1 to 3. They attend a end of programme celebration.

Youthline does all the work to save the school's time. This is a free service. Youthline provides; full induction training, a resource booklet and badge for each supporter, monthly lunchtime check-in sessions, and a programme coordinator.

School Workshops

​We run several interactive workshops. Our mentors and helpline volunteers are trained as presenters, and are police checked.

​Workshops are free for schools in Christchurch. When they can be done depends on when our young volunteer facilitators are available.

Peer Support Skills - Mental Health First Aid

What do you do when someone comes to you in destress? This interactive workshop teaches students what to do, and gives them the resources they need. It's about giving a little TLC.
Time: 60 to 90 minute interactive workshop.

Address the Stress

Young people identify stress as their number one concern. This workshop teaches how to address your stress.
Time: 40 minute interactive workshop.
