Youthline's team of runners come from all over the country and have a wide range of running experience from beginners to the most experienced of runners and all have one thing in common - wanting to make a difference to young kiwi's around the country.
We do life-changing work through our Helpline; it is undoubtedly our most important work we do in positively impacting Mental Health in NZ.

There are options to suit everyone including:
This year, joining Team Helpline will look slightly different from our previous years. We are asking you to purchase your own entry so that more of the funds we raise from this event can go directly into funding our free National Helpline service. It is vital we can continue to be here for the increased number of young people and families reaching out to us for support now and over the coming months. Youthline's Helpline Service is staffed by a large team of fully trained volunteers supported by Clinical Staff who provide immediate support, development opportunities and referral services. We receive $90,000 a year in funding from Oranga Tamariki towards our Helpline costs and have to fundraise over $1 million to keep our Helpline running and free for your people and their families in Aotearoa.
If you set a minimum goal of $1,000 and reach this before Sunday 27 October 2020 (one week before race day!) then we will reimburse your entry costs!

How do I start fundraising as I haven’t done this before
We are here to help you every step of the way until race day with great resources, training tips, nutrition guides and regular emails to help you smash your targets! The first step is to visit “Join team” and set up your fundraising page. Then the simplest way to get started is to share it with your friends and family to let them know you’re fundraising to help Youthline. Then start training for your event and post regular updates to your social media pages for your supporters to see.
What amount should I set for my fundraising page goal?
You can set your own target for your online everydayhero fundraising page. We suggest $500 to challenge yourself and receive your tee and cap and if you really want to make your steps count, you can set your target to $1000 will mean we can refund your entry costs
