Youthline operates a call centre team of over fifteen trained operators who receive calls from four different phone lines. These lines represent a cross sectoral initiative undertaken by government and community organisations to work collaboratively to provide information about services to communities around New Zealand.
The call centre responds to calls received from the Family Violence Information Line (FVIL), the Safer Homes in NZ Everyday (Shine) the Victims of Crime Information Line (VoC) and the 211 Community Access Line (211).
Community organisations Youthline, Lifeline and Shine provide staffing for these lines with funding received from Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Justice (VoC).
