As well as equipping young people to deal with their individual concerns, Youthline also aims to address youth issues in the community and across the nation. Youthline acts a voice in a wide range of forums, ensuring that young people's views are being heard and considered.

We are actively involved in national and regional policy making. As a service that is provided regionally and linked nationally, we have a strong sense of the needs of young people on both levels.

Our development of the Youth Development Model for Manukau, is one example of our involvement at both a policy level and an implementation level.

This is also strongly linked to our commitment to community development and social action.
