Youthline is proud to be associated with the National Youth Workers Network.
The National Youth Workers Network, which evolved out of the July 2002 Involve Conference, aims to set national standards and ethics for the diverse group who work with young people in New Zealand. The existence of this network is important for the professional standing of youth work in New Zealand.
Earlier in 2006, the National Youth Workers Network published Real Work, a research document on the current state of youth work, with recommendations for the future. Additionally, the National Youth Workers Network is in partnership with NZAAHD to organise the Involve conference.
Youthline shares a vision of the future of youth work where shared standards of practice are held by all youth workers and other professionals who work with young people to provide optimal outcomes.
