Youthline has been providing services to the greater Auckland community for over 38 years. In Manukau, Youthline has been working from rented premises in Friendship House. This has proven to be inadequate. In order to provide the full range of services that young people need, Youthline aims to secure a large multi-purpose facility that is accessible to young people and their families in a high density area in Manukau.

Youthline aims to lift the level of community development to a place where all stakeholders mutually benefit.  The leasehold of the Papatoetoe Fire Station has the potential to become a benchmark in New Zealand community development and enable Manukau City Council and funding organisations to be recognised as supporting and fostering the needs of Youthline’s operation and the youth of the city.

Please support this project and give generously to Youthline.  For further information about how you can be a key sponsor of this important project please contact our Funding Team at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Manukau Update July 2010:

Tena Koutou

What a very busy month it has been. We met with the Manukau City Council along with key companies such as; MPC Town Planners, Logan Reilly (Architect) and David Philip (Traffic Engineer) who have been working alongside Youthline to make this project possible. We announce with excitement and joy that we now have resource consent for 145 St George Street, Papatoetoe, Manukau!

With the resource consent in our hands and the tendering process at the final sign off stage we are almost ready to announce the building contractor, so watch this space!

We are still waiting to receive the building consent approval, but we are confident that our latest submission will get a rapid response from Manukau City Council.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have donated time and materials to the Youthline Manukau Project. We could not have done this without your help and longstanding commitment to the community, families and young people.
