Youthline gets a boost from Kiwi musicians

Thanks to the artistic talent and generosity of some of NZ’s favourite musicians, Youthline has received support to help continue its 24/7 service.

More than $3,500 was raised at an event organized by Art for Artists Sake at Auckland’s Sale Street. Artworks by musicians including Hollie Smith, Julia Deans and Riki Gooch were sold to the highest bidder.

Youthine CEO, Stephen Bell, says that it was no surprise the art was of such a high quality.

“New Zealand’s musicians are world class in their field and the Art for Artists Sake programme shows these people are talented in visual arts as well.

“A huge thank you to all of the artists who took time to create the work, and those who purchased it.  Each year, Youthline has more than 400,000 people contacts through a range of channels, and the money raised will help us ensure we can continue to provide 24/7 support to young Kiwis,” Stephen said.

Artworks can be seen online at www.artforartistssake.com and the fifteen NZ musicians providing their talent for Art For Artists Sake are:

Adi Dick, Anna Coddington, Hollie Smith, Isaac Aesili, Iva Lamkum, Julia Deans, Lewis McCallum, Lisa Crawley, Lisa Tomlins, Mara TK, Rhian Sheehan,  Riki Gooch, Ruth Carr, Sacha Vee & Tim Guy.
