Youthline celebrates 40 years of supporting NZ youth
One of New Zealand’s best know youth charity is celebrating 40 years of service to young Kiwi’s with a Winter Wonderland event in Auckland.
The Youthline 40th Anniversary Gala Dinner will be on Saturday 2nd October at the Sky City Convention Centre and feature performances from a range of young New Zealand talent.
The anniversary event will be MC’d by Jessie Gurunathan, young local talent to be featured includes poet Grace Taylor, dancers Limit Break a performance by Daniel Munro, with a special performance by Anika Moa.
Youthline CEO, Stephen Bell says the event is to celebrate the work of thousands of passionate people who have made a difference for New Zealand’s young people.
“Youthline helps by providing support, information and development opportunities for young people – it’s so much more than a helpline.
We want to acknowledge the work done over the years by volunteers and teams around the country, and remind the public that we need their support to continue our work.
Without generous support from the public, funders and corporate sponsors and a huge commitment from Youthline staff both paid and voluntary, Youthline wouldn’t be celebrating this 40th Anniversary milestone,” says Bell.
Youth development and leadership is central to the organisation’s success and last year over 400,000 contacts were managed by Youthline.
